Even for those of us who made an effort to keep Halloween healthy last night, there’s still a chance we could use a fresh start. Here’s some ideas to implement this month that will help you detoxify and feel healthier.
- Drink Dandelion tea. The compounds in dandelions help your liver to process toxins faster by serving as a diuretic, meaning you’ll be flushing out the bad stuff with every cup you drink.
- Eat lots of lemons! Citric acid in lemons helps your digestive system with normal processes, but also helps in the case of gas or bloating. Incorporate lemon into meals or squeeze it into drinks to help detox any time.
- Drink as much water as you can. It may sound easier said than done, but there is basically nothing healthier you can do for yourself than drinking plenty of water. Flushing toxins through your system is as easy as a glass of water before and after every meal, not to mention it helps curb hunger so you won’t over eat!
These ideas may be just what Mom needs this month after one big candy binge on Halloween, but they’re also perfectly safe and easy things to incorporate into the whole family’s habits so that the kids can get back into the healthy swing of things too. Try out one or all three methods, and let us know how it works for you!
